“Major benefits of 5G Are In Areas Of Speed, Connectivity, Bandwidth, And Latency”

5G technology is the next big thing in the networking space that would take the progress of economies to a new level. The augment of 5G technology in India will boost many industries as it has the potential to make things easier than ever. 5G technology will have a larger impact on mobile application development. It will help mobile developers to push their limits and create more advanced applications that can provide a rich user experience. 5G is slated to accelerate the digital transformation in India. In line with knowing more about the results that 5G will bring to the desk, Rajeev Ranjan, Editor, Digital Terminal talked to Sumana Iyengar, CEO and Co-founder, Goavega. Sumana shared crucial insights about this advanced technology. Read below the excerpts:

Rajeev: How do you see the role of 5G in transforming the way people use mobile applications?

Sumana: 5G is built to deliver much higher speeds, this will allow users to have near lag-free experiences when streaming HD videos, playing games, and more capable AR/VR integration.

Rajeev: What will be the major benefits of 5G?

Sumana: Major benefits of 5G are in areas of speed, connectivity, bandwidth, and latency. Higher speeds mean 5G devices can transfer huge amount of data in a flash. Higher connection density would enable more IoT enabled smart devices. Lower latency due to minimal network interference would allow devices to deliver and process data in near real time.

Rajeev: How will 5G present new opportunities for app developers? How will it enable the app developers to create a richer user experience?

Sumana: 5G would enable app developers to create applications which can transfer data at the faster speed so any application which generates huge amount of data like in areas of gaming, Augmented Reality/ Virtual Reality, AI, and IoT would benefit.

Rajeev: Could you please brief about the challenges that are arising presently with 4G?

Sumana: 4G has a low connection speed compared to 5G this limits the amount of data that can be downloaded on the edge devices without any visible lag. Since connection speeds are limited, building immersive applications is a challenge.

Rajeev: How is Goavega positioned in the market currently? Please brief about your growth plans for the rest of year 2021.

Sumana: We are specialized in software product development. We build products and platforms for Small Medium Business and Startups. We are planning to expand our market reach in Canada and US regions.
