ZipGo Announces Bus Service for Women in Gurgaon

ZipGo, an on-demand transportation company, formally launched its membership based “women-only bus service” for Gurgaon and National Capital Region. The ZipGo women-only service was flagged off by Mr. Navdeep Singh Virk, Commissioner of Police (CP), Gurgaon and Mr. Saurabh Singh, Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), Gurgaon at an event at the Pllazio Hotel in Gurgaon.

“Women safety and traffic are perhaps the biggest every day concerns forcitizens and police alike. ZipGo addresses both these challenges with an innovative, technology based approach. Hence, we are delighted to launch ZipGo services in Gurgaon. I strongly believe that this service will not only ease commuting for women but also help in making a difference to traffic situation in the city. We congratulate ZipGo on their launchtoday.” said Mr. Neeraj Virk, Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon.

Jitender also added that “Commuters avoid buses due to the lack of clean, comfortable vehicles; inconvenient routes or stops and overcrowding. Longer journey time is another big reason people do not use buses. Using crowd-sourced routes, timings and stops; taking the shortest direct non-stop route; providing clean, comfortable AC buses with guaranteed seats solves all those problems and allows ZipGo to provide an on-demand experience but at one-fourth the prices of a taxi.

But the biggest value proposition is the peace of mind, comfort and relaxation that comes from knowing that all your co-passengers are women. With introductory prices starting from just Rs. 29 per ride, we are also the most economical option for a hassle-free daily commute. We are already witnessing a great response for our introductory routes as our service is encouraging people to leave their vehicles at home and opt for ZipGo. We have also integrated the PayTM wallet to provide the convenience of cashless transactions”.

“With ZipGo, our endeavor is to make women travel easy and hassle free in Gurgaon and subsequently in the whole of Delhi NCR. Also, shared transportation is the best option to deal with the growing traffic and pollution problem in our cities. Hence, we are very grateful to the Gurgaon administration including the Mr. Navdeep Singh Virk, CP, and Mr. Saurabh Singh, JCP, to extend their support, guidance and advice on how to tailor our service for women-commuters including the suggestion to install CCTV cameras and registration of the drivers at the local police station.” added Jitender.

As an introductory offer, ZipGo is offering Rs. 250/- worth of free rides for new users upon registration and Rs. 250/- worth of referral amount for each successful referral. New users can also avail up to 100% bonus on recharges with the PayTM wallet.
