“We’ve Developed PBAE Technology to Fight Ransomware”

eScan is one the few security companies which are providing security solutions to consumers in India. The company has tried to provide the latest and robust security solutions to safeguard the consumers from threats. In the recent time, the company has come out with the PBAE Technology to protect its customers against havoc created by multiple varieties of ransomware Sunil Kripalani, Sr. VP-Global Sales and Marketing, eScan shares his company’s  upcoming plans with DT.

DT: What have been the key highlights of e-Scan in 2016?

A: One of the key highlight of the year for us is we have successfully expanded our channel family to more than 5000 active eScan authorized partners in India and launched our new business products with latest anti-ransomware technology (PBAE Technology) to provide robust protection to every eScan users. We also consolidated our base among the fortune 5000 enterprise customer base and among SI partners across India.

DT: What kind of new security tools have you invented to keep partners and consumers loyal to you?

A: Our vision has been always to provide the latest and robust security solution with changing times. In the recent time, we have come out with the PBAE Technology to protect our customers against havoc created by multiple varieties of Ransomware.

Apart from technology, the central force would be that we being a channel oriented company work closely with our valued partners to provide a comprehensive solution for their customers.

DT: Is your company engaged in any Govt. projects specifically under the Digital India program? Please share details.

A: eScan is there across multiple government agencies, protecting their IT infrastructure or networks across India. Yes, we can say that we are even part of the govt. projects which are or were part of the digital India road map, from education to infrastructure through our partners. As I mentioned earlier, we work closely with our implementation partner for all our deployments.

DT: Since GST has finally been passed by the central government, how will it affect your business and the economy?

A: GST is a unifier for business. Certainly it is going to impact all business positively once implemented and will reduce a lot of tax issues under one umbrella. This in turn will help companies to streamline their finances and further the prices may come down for end customers.

DT: What is your assurance for providing excellent service support to your customer?

A: Our vision statement is to provide a safe and secure computing experience to our users. Hence we are one of the few organisations to run a 24 x 7 support team (telephonic and online) for our valued customer for real time support and solution for their security issues. It has been one of our key differentiators as well as value propositions.

DT: What’s your roadmap or strategy for the year 2017?

A: We were not very focused on India market earlier, but for last 4-5 years, we have been consolidating and structuring our India vision. As said earlier, we have already got a strong support of our loyal eScan partners in SOHO and SMB segments across India. 2016 has been our turning point for our enterprise business with more than 37% growth YOY. We look forward to 2017 to speed up our growth among the business segments.
