It has hosted activities, get-togethers, workshops, launch events and competitions aimed at overclockers, gamers and PC power users.  In 2016, our plan involved enhanced and focused sales and marketing initiatives targeting specific high-growth market segments. We strengthened our market base in the gaming motherboard category. A major chunk of our marketing initiatives focused on the gaming segment.

A: GIGABYTE has struck the right chord with partners in all relevant matters, be it incentives, loyalty programs, enhanced profitability, improved post-sales activities or timely provision of marketing support. DT: Do you think that Government of India’s ‘Make-in-India’ and ‘Digital India’ programs are seeing the light of day?

A: The government is working hard on promoting and implementing digitisation.  These initiatives are laudable because they are aimed at ensuring better and increased Information Technology (IT) access to the Indian citizen.

Digital transformation, in a broader sense, is bound to enhance the demand and usage of IT solutions and services, of which the PC is very much a part. This brings companies like GIGABYTE huge opportunities in the smaller cities and towns, which so far have not enjoyed on the true benefits of IT products and services.

DT: How does the channel help you to reach out to your potential customers? What’s your channel strength?

A: The company regularly holds meets for channel partners throughout the country, with the objective of educating resellers about GIGABYTE’s wide range of products and lucrative incentives. We also invest in outdoor advertising in the vicinity of the IT markets, and this benefits our partners who have retail outlets there. We do media advertising, mentioning our partners’ details.  GIGABYTE works towards providing partners with the best product feature / price combination, which makes it easier for them to not only meet but also, exceed the demands of their customers.

DT: What is your assurance for providing excellent service support to your customer?

A: GIGABYTE has been consistently enhancing its post-sales service setup across the country, with GIGABYTE RMA centers in each major city, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. These centers are equipped with the latest in repair machines and software solutions to facilitate sophisticated testing and troubleshooting; and are manned by skilled and experienced engineers.
