“We Plan to Extend Our Reach to 10,000 Business & Institutional Customers from Current set of 1000 Customers.”

Indian IT industry is too big and currently it is growing very rapidly as compared to past few years. Growing better economy and government bigger projects like Digital India, e-Governance, Smart Cities are key fueling factors for this tremendous growth. Larger enterprise, SMEs and SMBs are key verticals which have highest IT consumption demand across India. Big corporates are very much focused to the approaches they opt for attaining a good market share as well as covering their targeted revenue. It can only be possible by bringing efficiency into the system, operations and activities. Corpkart, emerging name into the unique distribution model for IT solutions offers complete range of IT hardware and software solutions to such companies. We recently got a chance to interact with Vishal Sopory, CEO & Co-Founder, Corpkart. He shared his insights and growth plan for his venture with DT.  

DT: How do you see the growth of Corpkart so far? Why you opted for this platform?  

Mr. Vishal: Corpkart allows institutional and corporate customers easy online access to IT hardware and software products from the leading Tech OEMs. With Corpkart stakeholders in procurement process can transparently research and evaluate the options available and make comparisons. Our purpose is to make IT procurement process efficient and transparent. So far we are reaching out to about 1000 corporate customers of varying sizes. Our model addresses the requirements of business customers with easy to use online platform. 

DT: What all range of IT solutions you are offering currently? 

Mr. Vishal: Corpkart is offering complete range of IT hardware and software products ranging from client systems (notebooks, Desktops, tablets and workstations), servers, networking, security, storage, mobility and application softwares. We have partnered with leading OEMs and take pride in offering multivendor configurations to best serve the customer needs. 

In addition to ability to buy products, Corpkart completes the proposition by presenting solutions related to complete life cycle of IT assets and also related to the stage of the organization itself, whether it’s is a startup or large mature company. 

Corpkart is offering customised Asset refresh programs where we offer to remove and purchase the existing end of life products installed in an organization. As the next step in addition to standard credit terms Corpkart is offering leasing or rental options as preferred by a company in line with their capital allocation strategy. 

During the life of the products, a free warranty management and asset tracking tool from Corpkart   allows corporations to ensure that their IT infrastructure is always available and they benefit from warranty and service provisions. Corpkart completes the cycle with assured buy back and EOL upgrades options. 

DT: Which are your targeted verticals? Kindly share about your business model.  

Mr. Vishal: Given our focus on standard hardware and software platforms we are largely vertical agnostic. Our offerings are suitable to companies who see IT as integral part of their businesses whether they have 10 or 10,000 employees. We aim to ensure that IT becomes one of the mainstay of their competitive differentiation and they have access to requisite IT infrastructure irrespective of their life cycle stage. 

DT: Which are your operating areas in India? What steps you are taking to enhance your reach widely? 

Mr. Vishal: As of now we are more focused in Delhi NCR where our headquarters are. However online platform allows us to be in front of the customers anywhere in the country. We have logistical and operations capabilities to serve our customers nationwide which we intend to complement with a sales and business development coverage during this year. 

DT: What kind of challenges you face in continuing this platform? 

Mr. Vishal: A business model strongly anchored in an online strategy is an imperative today. This is the prerequisite to exist today and essential to be future ready. Our challenge is being in front of corporate decision makers faster and we believe platforms like Digital Terminal will be of enormous help. Having upfront information and comparison of products while you are planning your IT strategy and budgets is a game changer. Corpkart is the pioneer in this space and while we work to introduce our capabilities we also hope that progressive CXOs will see the incredible range of benefits of a transparent platform that is offering new approach to acquisition, management and disposal of IT assets. 

DT: What are your set targets by the end of current FY 2018-19? 

Mr. Vishal: We plan to extend our reach to 10,000 business and institutional customers from the current set of 1000 customers. We also plan to be the partner of choice in the country for the leading technology OEMs when it comes to reaching out to the corporate customers. While we are already at 100 Cr revenue we hope that revenue growth will track the expansion of customer set. Our target is to make our customers IT procurement efficient by 20% or more. If we are able to deliver that, it will be an awesome measure of our success.
