“We Plan to Boost Distributor Strength in Metro Cities”

Consumer electronics segment is one of the biggest markets for Indian market. With new technology innovations and advancement, brands are bringing excellent products for consumers in India. Super Plastronics is one of the leading brands offering wide range of consumer electronic products. DT spoke with Mr. Avneet Singh Marwah, Director & CEO, Super Plastronics Ltd. to know the achievements, targets and current performance of his organization.

DT: As a brand known for CRT TV and LED Television, what is your upcoming product range?

Mr. Avneet Singh: It is quite well known, that CRT is reaching the end of its life and may very well soon be out of production. LED TVs are the current and upcoming way of the world and we have developed many LED TV’s in the recent years. We also plan on introducing bigger sizes to target the premium customer segments.

DT: Brief us about your overall journey since your inceptions. What were the key highlights of your journey?

Mr. Avneet Singh: Our unit started off solely as a plastic molding unit by our current Chairman, which then progressed to CRT TV’s and now LED TV’s. Our unit has witnessed a change from manufacturing only CRT’s TV’s to now manufacturing a range of televisions.

We have seen a remarkable change in customer behavior-From being possessive about their televisions to now changing them at the drop of a hat. It has been exciting to also see the evolution in technology over the years and also the increasing amount of content that is being offered.

DT: How do you see the recent branding licensing agreement with Kodak? What all opportunities you are seeing with Kodak in future?

Mr. Avneet Singh: The brand licensing agreement with Kodak is an excellent opportunity for us to reach out to the customers and show them that Indian manufactured products are just as good as imported ones. We see a lot of growth opportunity with Kodak in the future with respect to expanding our product and consumer base in India.

DT: What is your view about Make in India? How Super Plastronics support this initiative?

Mr. Avneet Singh: Kodak initiate make in India programme, currently we have 3 manufacturing plants in India. We are in a process to set up one more plant in south region. Kodak HD LEDTV will be investing more than 800 cr in next three years, would be soon starting up R&D for technology solution in India. As we are really focused on next generation Televisions.

DT: Tell us about your channel network? What are your channel strategies to create growth opportunities?

Mr. Avneet Singh: Our channel network is vast and at present we have 28 branches and a number of distributors linked with every branch. We plan to boost distributor strengthin metro cities to cater more consumers need.

DT: How is your commitment towards providing best in class service support to your customers?

Mr. Avneet Singh: We are committed to providing the best after sales service to our customers, which is why we are always looking for ways to improve and upgrade our customer support. We are currently exploring the idea of providing a 24 hours customer support system ,which is not offered otherwise.
