Seagate Technology boosts Backup Plus product range by adding two innovative products. The company launched Seagate® Backup Plus Slim and Seagate® Backup Plus Fast drive today at New Delhi.
Seagate® Backup Plus Slim
They have announced the second generation of its sleek external storage lineup, Seagate® Backup Plus Slim. With a svelte compact design and superspeed USB 3.0 interface, the Backup Plus Slim drive is the ideal storage solution to aggregate and back up valued photos, videos and other files despite being spread across numerous devices, social networks and personal computers.This new offering includes the backup software, Seagate Dashboard, which made the first generation of Seagate® Backup Plus drives so popular. The Seagate Dashboard software provides an easy one-click backup solution, but can also be set as a scheduled backup up as needed. Additionally, the Dashboard software will back up Facebook and Flickr albums to ensure that even video and photos shared through these networks are backed up and easy to find. Use the Save and Share features to download and upload content from these social media networks. Even all the photos you have been tagged in can be backed up from your social networks to the drive.

Seagate® Backup Plus Fast
Seagate Technology has introduced Backup Plus FAST portable drive; the world’s first portable 4TB storage device, providing twice the capacity and speed of existing external portable drives. This new Seagate® Backup Plus FAST drive features a superspeed USB 3.0 interface to deliver transfer speeds up to 220MB per second, making it the perfect companion for a field photographer or filmmaker looking to quickly move large files to backup.
The metal top-case of Seagate Backup Plus FAST drive is a quality sturdy design and is resistant to scratches and fingerprints. It needs no external power supply and is compact enough to fit easily in a camera bag or backpack while delivering the same or higher capacity of today’s desktop drives. The drive is configured as RAID 0, which stripes the data across both drives increasing the volume capacity and transfer speed.

Seagate Backup Plus Slim portable: 500GB Slim – INR 4,250; 1TB Slim – INR 6,000; 2TB Slim – INR 10,500; and the 4TB Fast – INR 25,000 MSRP. The high-capacity Seagate Backup Plus desktop 3.5-inch is available in 2TB – INR 8,200; 3TB – INR 11,500; 4TB – INR 14,000. All prices are MSRP. The 4TB Seagate Backup Plus FAST portable drive is currently available in stores for an MSRP of INR 25,000.
