Nihilent Technologies Completed 51st Annual Convention

Nihilent Technologies, a Pune based global consulting and solutions Integration Company along with The Computer Society of India (CSI) successfully concluded its 51st annual convention and announced the winners of CSI-Nihilent eGovernance Awards 2015-16 on 24th January, 2017 at Hotel Le Meridien in Coimbatore. The awards have been instituted by CSI’s Special Interest Group on eGovernance (SIG eGov) with sponsorship from Nihilent.

This year, under the State Category, the states of Rajasthan and Telangana are the winners of the Award of Excellence while the Award of Recognition went to Odisha and Nagaland.  

Under the Projects Category 34 projects were from govt departments and organizations across the country for their innovative and inclusive e-Governace initiatives. Awardees were honoured with Award of excellence, Award of appreciation and Award of recognition.   Winning projects included a few national initiatives from organizations like CDRSO of Ministry of Health, SCRB of Ministry of Science and Technology, CERC, NHIDC of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and CDAC of MeitY. In addition, two projects from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh were recognized under Sustenance category.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, convener, Mr. GSN Prabhu said, “This year has seen over 180 nominations for projectcs and identifying the best from the nominations has been very tough with quality work being done across the board. It only goes to show that the awards have gained extreme importance, and is being regarded as a key differentiator in projects assessment from a multi stage and multi-dimensional perspective. We believe that our sustained efforts over the last many years in promoting e-Governance awareness and knowledge through the awards and knowledge sharing sessions compliment the overall efforts of policy makers and practitioners towards achieving Digital Transformation”.

The awards ceremony was well represented by officials from the administrative services as well as ministries.
