LAVA International Limited has added an entry level device in Iris series of Android smartphones with the launch of Iris X1 Atom. The smartphone carries forward the much appreciated design & form factor of Iris X1 range. It has been designed for consumers in the entry level price segment who are most likely going to upgrade from a feature phone or are 1st time smartphone buyers.
Iris X1 Atom runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor and has a 5 MP PureCelTM rear camera with high intensity LED flash that offers an excellent camera experience. It comes with Android KitKat, 4.4 with a guaranteed upgrade to Android Lollipop, 5.0 through FOTA.
Iris X1 Atom has a 4-inch WVGA (480*800) display that offers 233 pixels per inch and 16.7 million colours. It packs in 512 RAM and an internal memory of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via micro-SD card, giving its target users enough space to store their multimedia content. The smartphone also offers software features such as Smart Swipe. This is essentially a 4 way gesture/shortcut that includes Smart View (use two fingers to rotate the images in gallery), Double Tap to Wake up, Active Shot (one step shortcut to click photograph).
On the connectivity front, Iris X1 Atom supports 3G connectivity for faster internet access, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V2.1 and micro- USB v2.0. It supports MPEG4, H.263, H.264 Video codecs and has Full HD Video Playback option.
Lava Iris X1 Atom will be available in white Silver, Black Silver and Black gold colors across all national retail chain stores, multi-brand outlets across India and ecommerce portals from next week.
