Q: What is the current market size of online streaming market in the country? How has it grown in the recent years?

A: The Indian online streaming industry has seen a enormous growth in the past few years. Viewers now require their desired entertainment content to be portable, right at their fingertips. Several indigenous digital content service providers are now operating within the Indian entertainment industry as a result of the changing market dynamics.

Q: What is your active user base?

A: In terms of an active user base, YuppTV is present in over 400+ million households through Smart TVs and has had over 5 million mobile app downloads since its launch. It is also the 2nd most popular app in Google Play Store and the most popular TV app on LG and Samsung Smart TVs in India. We host5 million visitors every month on our platform and see a peak monthly traffic of 20 million page views.

Q: How are you planning to grow your female viewership base?

A: For GEC TV channels, women form the biggest audience group in YuppTV and we have seen that female viewership on alternate content is also very high. We plan to add more GEC channels to YuppTV platform and to offer more interesting content for women. We have the highest female viewership from the metro cities. Hyderabad and Bangalore top the charts followed by Delhi and Mumbai.

Q: What are the challenges in the Indian market? How different is it from the global market?

A: One of the major challenges that sets India apart from other markets across the globe is the internet infrastructure. Despite the increased wireless penetration, the internet infrastructure in the country still has a long way to go in terms of broadband penetration.

Q: What service support do you provide the end-user?

A: We offer 24X7 support to our end-users to address any and all queries regarding our services.

Q: How do you deal with the content ownership? What issues do you face in dealing with the content copyrights?

A: Whether it is TV channels or VOD content, YuppTV holds legal rights for all the content that is there on YuppTV platform. We have very strong relations with our content partners and we have never faced any copyright issues.

Q: How do you convince the end user to buy your services?
