The third edition of IoT India Congress that concluded today witnessed the launch of India’s first India-Israel Innovation Centre (IIIC), an entrepreneurial tech hub where teams and individuals can grow their technologies and businesses surrounded by like-minded people, and work collaboratively in a supportive environment and related communities in both the countries. The IIIC was launched by Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, Government of India.
Present at the event, Moshe Porat, Founder & CEO Mesh Labs, Ariel Seidman, Deputy Counsul General of Israel and Varad Krishna, Founding Partner, IIIC participated in the launch of IIIC.
Speaking on the launch, Ms. Dana Kush said, Consulate General of Israel to South India said, "We are proud to witness the launch of IIIC, which reinstates that the formula of “India + Israel= Innovation” works. Our role as diplomats is to find best possible ways to connect India to the Israeli ecosystem and vice-versa, especially while both nations are focusing on startups. I wish IIIC to be another productive milestone in connecting the countries and pave the way for many more successful businesses to grow and transform. There would have been no better place than having this launch in India’s Silicon Valley- here in Bengaluru."
The IIIC is a significant step towards facilitating penetration of Israeli companies in India and aims to bring local partnerships and joint ventures between the companies from the two countries. It will provide an ecosystem to support entrepreneurship, partnership with vendors, mentoring and non-formal community development that will assist the growth of the companies in different verticals and covers business, technology, investors and customers.
Startups that are part of IIIC will be given mentorship and guidance and opportunities to participate at all IIIC’s Global events and experience networking avenues with potential customers.

As a part of this year’s focus, the IOT India Congress offered Live experience zones, Speed Dating, Pop+91 stage, Argonaut session along with the key tracks - Manufacturing, Healthcare, Smart Cities, Digital Communication, Media and Edutainment and IoT Standards.
The event attracted participation from over 2000 delegates over the two days. Marc Jones, Chairman and CEO, Aeris delivered the super keynote address. Industry leaders like Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, Government of India, Juergen Hase, CEO, Unlimit, Dr. Gopichand Katragadda, CTO, Tata Group, Ravi Ramaswamy, Senior Director and Head, Health Systems, Philips Innovation Campus, V S Sridhar, Senior Vice President and Head, IoT Business Initiative, Tata Communications Ltd, to name a few were part of the panel discussions, keynote address and workshops.
The event also witnessed the launch of seven whitepapers which focused on Healthcare Prevention, IoT Security, Smart Education, Smart Energy, Smart Governance, Smart Living, and Standards in Legal Privacy. Also, a part of the congress was the uniquely designed Argonaut- Money on the Table session which provided a platform for startups to interface with angel investors.
