“Doing Business with Rashi has been Most Preferred and Profitable”

Rashi Peripherals is now the top 35 IT companies in India and amongst the top 5 IT distribution companies. In the last few years it has strengthened its branded PC segment and smartphone market segment. Here are further details of company’s future plans from Rajesh Goenka, VP- Channel & Sales – Rashi Peripherals.

DT: - What have been the key highlights of your company during the year 2016?

A: - Rashi has been growing at the CAGR of 25% for the last 15 years and we expect the same momentum to continue for next few years. Rashi is now the top 35 IT companies in India and amongst the top 5 IT Distribution company. In the last few years we have strengthened our branded PC segment and smartphone market segment. Our channel breadth has grown up by 10% and we are planning to grow this further. Today Rashi peripherals is only distributor which is one stop shop for partners, IT and mobility needs. As we provide not only inventory, logistic but marketing RMA Services and regular trainings for value additions.

DT: - What is the central force which keeps partners and consumers loyal to your brand?

A: - Consistency, transparency and desire to have win-win transaction has enabled Rashi Peripherals to create a huge base of loyal channel partners. In one of the recent surveys by GFK Neilson it was found that doing business with Rashi Peripherals is most preferred and profitable. In fact all the partners surveyed mention that they would recommend Rashi peripherals to their friend to do business which is a huge tribute to us.

DT: - Is your company engaged in any Govt. projects specifically under the Digital India program?

A: - We are engaging with small and large system integrators who are providing solutions to various Digital India programs.

DT: - Since GST has finally been passed by the central government, how will it affect your business and the economy?

A: - GST is a short term pain and long term gain. It might slow business in the short run but will trigger growth in the long term. The demand for IT infrastructure is set to grow after the GST is rolled out and implemented.  

DT: - How does the channel help you to reach out to your potential customers? What’s your channel strength?

A: - Rashi currently has 51 branch offices and bill to 9000 channel partners in more than 425 towns of India. We continuously engage with each channel partner and help them to train and support their customers. Through continuous development process, we acquire direct partners and also help our partners’ customer.

DT: - What is your assurance for providing excellent service support to your customer?

A: - Probably  Rashi peripherals is the only distribution company which has services arm. We provide service to the most of the brands that we distribute. Our TAT is rated amongst the best in the industry and we are continuously striving to improve the same.

DT: - What’s your roadmap or strategy for the year 2017?

A: - To stay profitable and sustain growth will be the core focus for 2017. We are working on to add and introduce various new technologies like VR in the country. We are committed to work with channel partners to improve their business and profitability.

DT: - What is your current revenue? What is your projection for the year 2017?

A: - We did extremely well in FY 2015 – 16 as we achieved revenue of INR 3200 cr. With our growth record and new market opportunities, we aim to grow by 25% each year for next few year.
