Dell announces its support as the technology partner for the eKranti initiative launched in Gujarat. The project was recently launched by the Gujarat State Co-operative Credit Societies Federation Ltd., in an effort to facilitate the delivery of all government services electronically to citizens. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Gujarat State Co-operative Credit Societies Federation Ltd. and Dell’s channel partner – Earth Syscom and Project Central Partner - Jintech Solutions Limited for the implementation of the project.
eKranti is an initiative under the ambit of the government’s defining ‘Digital India’ plan. Launched in Gujarat, the project helps in making computers available to citizens through societies registered with the Federation, via a loan at 0% interest and 12 monthly installments. As the technology partner, Dell will play a crucial role in supplying the technology infrastructure comprising state-of-the-art Dell Vostro laptops and desktops, and Dell OptiPlex all-in-ones pre-installed with Microsoft OS, Microsoft office and anti-virus.
